Rip Hanks, the founder of Weather Shield, has been a Florida State-Certified Roofing Contractor for 9 years. He is heavily involved in the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association, serving on the Board of Directors, Codes Committee, and Governmental Affairs Committee, and residing as Chairman of the Membership Committee. In 2022, he won the Bieler Roofing Award from the FRSA for his continued commitment to improving the roofing industry. Rip also won the International Residential Roofing Award from the Metal Roofing Alliance for demonstrating superior design and craftsmanship on a metal roofing project here in Gulf Breeze, FL. He also won the 2018 BBB Torch Award for exceptional customer service with the Weather Shield Metal division.
Addam Pollock

Addam has been heavily involved with the roofing industry for over 15 years. After beginning as a home inspector, he found himself working as a “high & steep specialist”, performing inspections on the more dangerous roofs that others were unqualified for. Addam then moved on to working as an insurance specialist, working together with homeowners to protect them against insurance companies. He obtained a National HAAG Certification in 2017 for inspecting high-wind damage on homes. Starting in 2018, he worked as a project coordinator in the roofing industry before joining Weather Shield.

Dylan Hanks
Vice President
Dylan started working with Weather Shield in 2017, while also enrolled as a student at Florida State University. After graduating from FSU in 2019, he joined the company full-time. In 2021, he became a Florida State-Certified Roofing Contractor at just 24 years old.
